A month after the 2017 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships which was held in Belgrade, Serbia, young canoe sprint paddlers competed in their second major event of the year – 2017 Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint World Championships. Pitesti, Romania, welcomed the future stars of canoe sprint as well as many paddlers who already had success at the senior level European and World events.

Today’s competition brought the names of the semi-finalists in the 200 metres events that remain in the game for the last sets of medals. In the 200 metres heats Hungarian and Slovak paddlers produced the best runs.
