Plovdiv welcomes Europe's best canoe sprint paddlers

Best European canoe sprint paddlers will return to the place where it all started in 1997. In that year the fist Senior Canoe Sprint European Championships under the auspices of the European Canoe Association was held in Plovdiv and this week this Bulgarian city, the second largest in the country, will host the ECA Senior Canoe Sprint European Championships for the second time. On Saturday and Sunday ECA Paracanoeing European Championships will also be held at the same venue with the best European paracanoeists and Paraylmpic Games medallists taking part in the competition.

Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships in Belgrade concludes with 500 and 200 metres finals

Last day of the 2017 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, brought 44 races, 32 of them were A finals in the 500 and 200 metres events in junior and U23 categories. It was a big day for teams of Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Russia, Belarus and also Serbia as their athletes regularly stood on the winner’s podium.

On the third competition day of the 2017 ECA Junior&U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships which takes place in Serbian capital Belgrade the first medals have been awarded to the best athletes in the 1000 metres finals. Today we saw fourteen A finals in the longest distance of this championship.
