A couple of days ago white water section of Slovak Canoeing informed us they decided not to participate at any international events in 2020 to ensure safety of their athletes. The position of sprint paddlers at the moment is opposite, they intend to participate at two major international events this year.

2020 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint Europeans cancelled

We are sorry to announce that the 2020 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships in Moscow, Russia, has been cancelled. The cancellation is a result of Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent cancellations/postponements of competitions this Spring and Summer and the fact that all involved parties could not find an acceptable date for the organisation of the championships in the Fall 2020.

Serbian minister visited canoe sprint training in Belgrade

Before Serbia and Balkans in general was strongly hit by coronavirus Serbian minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovičić visited Ada Ciganlija and supervised training of the best Serbian canoe sprinters.

Saul Craviotto – I am convinced we will return from Tokyo with many medals

Four times Olympic medallist Saul Cravitto talked about postponement of Olympic Games and difficult times the world and Spain encountered this year. 35-year-old paddler agrees that postponement of the Games was sensible, even though it was hard to accept it after three years of hard training. He pointed out he and his teammates will try even harder because their country deserves some joy.
