International canoe slalom community mourns the death of Jürg Götz (1959 – 2024), former canoe slalom athlete, coach and performance director. In his post athlete career he helped athletes on their road to winning Olympic medals and medals at other major international competitions through six Olympic cycles.

After the long and exciting season China’s Hangzhou hosted a special Super Cup sporting event, combining different canoeing disciplines under one roof. Canoe Slalom introduced short slalom, in addition to traditional slalom and kayak cross races that were held over three competition days.

The 2024 ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup series concluded with the final race at the 1992 Olympic course in La Seu d’Urgell and the overall champions of the series all known. European representatives once again dominated.
