After a month of break in this year’s season the biggest European Canoeing events resume this week with the 2017 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom European Championships in Hohenlimburg, Germany. The best young canoe slalom paddlers from 27 European countries will compete on the Lenne River between Thursday and Sunday.

On Saturday and Sunday Slovakia hosted the last two events of the season with athletes from Europe as well as overseas participating in the events. Athletes from ten countries won trophies for their good performances on a course which hosted the Junior and U23 World Championships last month.

European nations were the strongest as representatives of Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, France, Great Britain, Russia, Spain, Austria, Poland, Slovenia and Italy won medals during the six competition days.
