Bosnian kayaker Darko Savić, who was recently named best sportsman of Republika Srpska (one of two constitutional and legal entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the other being the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina) in the year 2018, took on a special challenge. Together with a colleague he paddled the 500 kilometres between his hometown Banja Luka and Serbian capital Belgrade.
Read moreThe 2019 ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Championships will be organised in Slovenia on the emerald Soča River in Bovec and Kobarid. This has been known for some time, but now we finally have the date of the competition. It has been confirmed that the best Wildwater Canoeing paddlers will fight for the medals at European Championships between May 14th and 18th 2019. The same venue last hosted the ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Championships in the season 2013. Save the date!
Read moreThe 2018 ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Cups series has come to an end with remaining races that were held in Czech Republic, in Česke Budejovice and Roudnice. This year the races were held in Skopje, Kolpa, Banja Luka, Češke Budejovice and Roudnice. A record number of athletes has participated in the series this year. There were almost 300 athletes from 13 countries on the start line of at least one race. A novelty in 2018 was an ECA Wildwater Canoeing Junior European Cup. All four races in the junior series were organised in Czech Republic, with over 100 athletes from six nations participating in this competition.
