The 2020 ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Cup race series was supposed to start at the end of March with a race in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, but was cancelled duo to Covid-19, like the following races in Skopje and Osilnica. ECA’s technical delegate for Wildwater Canoeing Manuela Gawehn now worked with the organisers and found new dates for the race series later in the year.

Due to Covid-19 pandemic the International Canoe Federation cancelled or postponed all international canoeing competitions until the end of May. It was also inevitable to cancel the 2020 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships in London. The same goes for the first scheduled competitions in the ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Cup series.

Organisers of the ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Cup in Banja Luka which was scheduled for the end of March have been forced to postpone the race to August. The new date is 28th and 29th August 2020.
