The ECA Wildwater Sprint Canoeing European Cup race series was supposed to start already in March but the Covid-19 pandemic turned everything upside down. The races in Skopje, Banja Luka and Osilnica were then postponed to September and October. It is already clear that Skopje and Banja Luka will not host the races in September; the only question remains whether they will be cancelled completely or again postponed to later in the year.

ECA’s Board of Directors confirmed the organisation of the 2020 ECA Junior and U23 Wildwater Canoeing European Championships in Solkan, Slovenia. The championships is scheduled for 4-7 November 2020.

The 2020 ECA Wildwater Sprint Canoeing European Cup in Osilnica, Slovenia, is scheduled for 2nd and 3rd October 2020. On Friday the international classic race is on the programme, while on Saturday the ECA Wildwater Sprint Canoeing European Cup will take place on Kolpa River.

The 2020 ECA Wildwater Sprint Canoeing European Cup series kicked off with a race in Česke Vrbne where more than 200 athletes in senior and over 100 paddlers in junior categories took part. Medallists from past European and World Championships were at the podium in Czech Republic.
