Slovenian Canoe Slalom paddlers competed at the first race in the year 2020 organised in Tacen. The race was run in accordance with restrictions and followed the protocols, meaning it was organised behind closed doors without spectators. Liam Jegou is set to become the first man to compete for Ireland at the Olympic C1 canoe slalom since Mike Corcoran at Atlanta in 1996. He got his spot in internal qualifications by beating Robert Hendrick, who actually won the quota for Ireland at last year’s World Championships in La Seu d’Urgell.
