Polish canoe team had many reasons to celebrate during the third competition day of the 2017 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships in Ljubljana – Tacen. In the men’s kayak final Mateusz Polaczyk and Dariusz Popiela finished the race in positions one and two and Filip – Andrzej Brzezinski won silver medal in men’s C2 event.

All the team events were held today in the capital city of Slovenia and brought some interesting results. Slovenia won historic first gold medal in women’s K1 event, while Slovakia failed to win a medal both in C1 and C2 men events where they were defending champions.

Most of the favourites came safely through to the semi-finals, the biggest upset was in men’s C2 event, where multiple Olympic medallists Peter and Pavol Hochschorner (SVK) failed to proceed to the semi-final.
