European Canoe Association

Czech Republic hosted the traditional and well known Krumlov Canoe Marathon which attracted more than 400 boats in the 36 kilometres event, and additional 300 boats and SUPs that took part in the shorter marathon distances. Representatives of Czech Republic and Germany took majority of the medals in 16 events of the 36 kilometres long race. Special sprint event was also organised to accompany the 16^th edition of Krumlov Canoe Marathon.

Hungary and Spain remain European canoe marathon superpowers

Portuguese town Vila de Prado hosted almost 500 athletes from 35 countries at this year’s edition of the Canoe Marathon World Championships. Hungary once more showed the dominance in this canoeing discipline concluding the championships with a total of 18 medals (six gold, nine silver, three bronze).

One month after Canoe Marathon European Championships Neretva hosts different boats

One month ago Neretva River was the venue of the 2018 ECA Canoe Marathon European Championships in Metković, today the river hosted different kind of boats.

Llamedo and Vazquez winners of the 82nd International descent of the River Sella

Spain hosted the 82nd edition of world renowned International descent of the River Sella (Descenso del Sella), taking place in Asturias. The event started in 1930 but was then on hold for a couple of years during the Spanish Civil War. In 1951 the descent already became an international event with participants from Portugal and Italy coming to the river Sella.
