The second competition day of the 2019 ECA Canoe Marathon European Championships in Decize, France, brought junior and U23 races. In the seven events that were held today gold medals went to Hungary, Denmark, Ukraine and France.

The 2019 ECA Canoe Marathon European Championships in Decize started with women's K1 and men's C1 and K1 junior events as well as short races. In extremely hot weather France celebrated double win in men's K1 short race thanks to Cyrille Carre and Jeremy Candy. Hungary also opened this championships successfully with four gold medals.

The 2019 ECA Canoe Marathon European Championships will officially kick off tomorrow with opening ceremony in Decize, France. Competitors from 21 European countries are expected to start in this year's European Championships. Races will be held every day from Thursday until Sunday.
