The day has come and the first canoe sprint and paracanoe races were on the programme of the Munich 2022 European Championships. Heats in eleven canoe sprint and two paracanoe events were held on the opening day. Jack Eyers from Great Britain was athlete of the day - producing the best time of Paracanoe European Championships in VL3 heats.

In Munich, everything is ready for the start of the Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe European Championships, for the first time inside the multi-sport European Championships. The competition will run from Thursday until Sunday.

Paracanoe will also be represented at the Munich 2022 European Championships at the Olympic Regatta Course in Oberschleißheim just North of Munich. Nine reigning World Champions, some of them also the defending European Champions will fight for another success.
