Another exciting year for European Canoeing and members of canoeing family is coming to an end. Below we have selected some of the events that made a mark in the year 2023. This year, we have enjoyed great action at the European Games in Krakow, where Canoe Slalom joined Canoe Sprint in the sports programme of the EG for the first time. Skopje, Bratislava, Slavonski Brod, Montemor-o-Velho, Brandenburg and Arcos de la Frontera were the sites of the 2023 ECA European Championships where athletes showed all their excellence. The European Canoe Association also got a new leadership in March, when president of the French Canoe Federation Jean Zoungrana took over as the president of the ECA.
