Some of the ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Cups are cancelled too

Due to Covid-19 pandemic the International Canoe Federation cancelled or postponed all international canoeing competitions until the end of May. It was also inevitable to cancel the 2020 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships in London. The same goes for the first scheduled competitions in the ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Cup series.

European Canoe Association and British Canoeing were unfortunately forced to cancel the planned 2020 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships on the 2012 Olympic Course in Lee Valley due to Covid-19 pandemic. The news comes together with many cancellations of major sporting events scheduled for this spring and early summer.

Today, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) continued its consultations with all the stakeholders of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. The first took place with the International Olympic Summer Sports Federations. Those with the National Olympic Committees (NOCs), the athletes’ representatives, the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), other International Federations (IFs) and other stakeholders will follow in the coming days.
