On the second competition day of the 2023 ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Championships in Skopje the classic team events were on the programme. Gold medals went to France, Germany and Slovenia.

French make a strong start at the 2023 ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Championships in Skopje

The 2023 ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Championships in Skopje, North Macedonia, kicked off with the individual classic races, where France took three European Champion titles thanks to Theo Viens, Maxence Barouh and Theo Viens - Nicolas Sauteur. Italy won two gold medals on the opening day and Belgium one.

2023 ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Championships to start in Skopje

The first ECA European Championships of the season 2023 will be the 2023 ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Championships in Skopje, North Macedonia, which will kick off with an opening ceremony on Tuesday, while the first competitions are scheduled for Wednesday.

Jean Zoungrana’s first international appearances as ECA president

After the ICF and ECA Board meetings in Budapest in late April Jean Zoungrana, new president of the ECA, travelled to Azerbaijan for the President Cup. This was the first international competition in the role of President of the European Canoe Association for Jean Zoungrana, who is also a president of the French Canoe Federation.
