Canoe slalom paddlers who are preparing for the new season 2024 in Australia took an opportunity and started at the Oceania Championships to find the competition feelings for the first time this year. European paddlers did well, winning in finals of three events.

The ECA Board of Directors confirmed the differences between the ICF and ECA Canoe Slalom Competition Rules, which will be used in the season 2024. Some of the rules changes apply only for Senior Championships, while others will be in use at both Senior and Junior/U23 Canoe Slalom European Championships.

The 2024 ECA I Feel Slovenia Canoe Slalom European Championships will take place in Ljubljana – Tacen, Slovenia, between 15th and 19th May 2024. The Opening ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday and the competitions will take place over the next four days.

Danish paddler Mads Brandt Pedersen became Canoe Marathon world champion this year for the third time and also prolonged his winning streak at European Championships. He also won his first Canoe Sprint 5000 m title. He is a candidate for The World Games Athlete of the Year!
