Nelo Winter Challenge 2017

The largest Nelo Training Centre in the Montebelo Aguieira Lake Resort, Portugal, once again hosted the Nelo Winter Challenge event which attracted many top level canoe sprint athletes. The event consisted of two races – the first was a 1500 metres time trial and the second the 150 metres race which had a knockout format.

Experts, speakers, coaches and athletes have personally been asked several times, “What to do once your racing career is over?” This is the main theme of the conference scheduled for the upcoming Wednesday, March 15th , starting at 10:00, which will be held at the Olympic Preparation Center named “Acquacetosa” in Rome promoted by the Italian Federation in association with Forcoop Cora.

Olympians in the spotlight of the XXXIV Spanish gala canoeing evening

The Royal Spanish Canoe Federation (RFEP) awarded their best athletes at the annual gala evening held in Madrid. It was an evening to celebrate great success of the Spanish athletes in the past season which will be written in the history books of the canoeing in Spain as one of the most memorable ones. Medallists of the Olympic Games were in the spotlight at the national gala event and more than 300 attendees were able to relieve the magic moments from Rio de Janeiro with the help of the video projections of all the Olympic finals.
