December is usually a month when we look back to the past months and achievements, so it is ideal month for celebration of sporting successes as well. German canoe sprinters were in the spotlight at the Brandenburg Sportsperson of the year gala awards. Franziska Weber was named Sportswoman of the year, Sebastian Brendel Sportsman and men’s C4 crew team of the year in Brandenburg.

O’Hara also won the World Champion title earlier this week in squirt, while Alex Edwards and David Rogers picked up silver and bronze medal in men’s squirt (all Great Britain).
