The 2018 ECA Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe European Championships will be streamed live from Belgrade, but due to TV rights limitations, countries whose television stations have bought the TV rights will be, unfortunately, geo-blocked. The following countries will be geo-blocked: Belarus, Croatia (provisional), Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia (streaming is expected to be available on the website of Serbian television), Ukraine (provisional). After the championships, when the TV rights limitations will be over, the video footage will be also available on our Youtube Channel Canoe Europe (in the first days of the following week). Duisburg hosted the second World Cup event of the season. European paddlers again showed their strength at the regatta course in Germany. Czech canoeist Martin Fuksa prolonged his winning streak with wins in men’s C1 1000 and 500 metres finals, Yul Oeltze and Peter Kretschmer (GER) also picked up two gold medals in front of their fans, winning in men’s C2 1000 and 500 metres events. Max Hoff (GER) finished the weekend with gold medals in men’s K2 1000 metres event together with Marcus Gross and was also the fastest in men’s K1 5000 metres event.
