The 2022 Canoe Slalom World Champion Vit Prindis first received an award for the best Czech paddler of the year both in wild- and flatwater and now he was also crowned the best wildwater paddler of the year in the Czech Republic.

The traditional awarding of the Czech Paddler of the year organised by the Czech Canoe Union took place yesterday and the task of selecting the best one was again challenging as Czech Republic once more celebrated many World and European champion titles. It was Canoe Slalom kayaker Vit Prindiš who celebrated the win this time.

Bratislava, which will host the 2023 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom European Championships, welcomed young paddlers from Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Ukraine, Poland and Slovakia at the 2022 Olympic Hopes competition. In addition athletes from Sweden and Switzerland took part in the open category. Representatives of Czech Republic were the most successful on Saturday and Sunday.

The European Canoe Association is happy to announce the location and the date of the 2023 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom European Championships. The competition will be held between 20 and 23 July 2023 in Bratislava – Čunovo, Slovakia.

The 2022 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom European Championships in Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, concluded with canoe finals and extreme slalom, and big celebration of host nation. On the final day of the championships they won six medals, four of them gold.
