Poland hosted canoe slalom Olympic Hopes competition

Poland hosted Olympic Hopes competitions both in canoe sprint and canoe slalom. Future stars of canoe sprint competed in Poznan, while young canoe slalom paddlers showed their skills on a course in Krakow. The same venue has already hosted senior European Championships and World Cup events on several occasions, as well as Junior and U23 European and World Championships. During the two competition days paddlers from Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia and Austria reached the podium positions.

New date of the 2019 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom European Championships confirmed

As many of you may have noticed there has been a clash of dates for the 2019 Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom European and World Championships. It has now been officially confirmed that the 2019 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom European Championships will be organised earlier, between 4th and 7th July 2019 in Liptovsky Mikulaš, Slovakia.
 
Senior 2019 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships in Pau, France, will be held between 30th May and 2nd June 2019.

After five weekends and exciting races in Liptovsky Mikulaš, Krakow, Augsburg, Ljubljana – Tacen and La Seu d’Urgell the 2018 canoe slalom World Cup series has come to an end. European paddlers once more dominated the races and also the overall World Cup standings.

Canoe Slalom World Cup series ended in Spain

Olympic course in La Seu d'Urgell, Spain, was the last venue of this year's canoe slalom World Cup series. European paddlers were once more excellent, winning thirteen medals in Saturday’s and Sunday’s finals and only two medals went to the hands of Australian paddlers. The same venue will host the 2019 Canoe Slalom and Wildwater Sprint Canoeing World Championships.
