The first canoe marathon event in Rome was a success

The Tiber River has hosted the first edition of Rome Canoe Marathon - Paddling for the Environment event which attracted participants in kayaks and canoes, SUPs, dragon boats and rafts. The course of the marathon was 14 kilometres long, with start at Ponte Milvio and finish at Castel Sant'Angelo.

Jiri Prskavec is Czech paddler of the year 2019

Czech Canoe Union awarded their best competitors in the season 2019 which was again very successful with medals at European and World Championships. Jiri Prskavec, canoe slalom paddler who won his second world champion title this year in La Seu d’Urgell, was named best sportsman of the year.

Croatian canoeing mourns the loss of a legend

Croatian canoeing mourns the loss of Dubravko Mataković - Čiči who passed away at the age of 77 after a long illness. He was the first Croatian wildwater paddler who participated at the Olympic Games. In 1972 Olympic Games in Munich he finished 25^th in men’s K1.

Three canoeists among best sportsmen of Dukla

Canoeists and kayakers are among the most successful sportsmen and sportswomen in Czech Republic. Many of them are members of army club Dukla and now three of them have been chosen among the top ten in sportsperson of the year polling.
