Cagliari, Sardinia, hosted the 2022 ECA Ocean Racing European Championships within the traditional Ohana Mana Cup and on Saturday the official European Championships races were on the programme. Spain's Judit Verges Xifra defended her European Champion title from last year, while in the men's event France's Valentin Henot took the gold medal.

More than 450 races were held over four competition days of the Canoe Sprint Olympic Hopes in Bratislava, Slovakia. Young athletes from 40 countries, not just European, but also from the United States of America, Canada, South Africa, Singapore, Argentina ..., fought in the 1000, 500 and 200 metres events.
