We are only one day away of the start of the canoe sprint competitions at the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus. An exciting and tough races are to be expected from Tuesday to Thursday on the Zaslavl regatta course. 333 competitors from 37 European countries will take part in the competition, including Olympic Games medallists, World and European Championships medallists and the best from the first European Games that were organised four years ago in Baku.

The upcoming weekend will bring the first of the two canoe polo tournaments in the 2019 ECA Canoe Polo European Cup series. Teams from 12 countries will take part in the tournament in Mechelen.

Organisers expect 333 competitors from 37 European countries to take part in the canoe sprint competitions of the European Games.

German teams celebrated the wins in men’s and women’s Performance class 1. KRM Essen celebrated in men’s category and ACC Hamburg in women’s final. 124 teams from 19 countries competed at the tournament in Germany.

This year’s European Champion in women’s canoe Mallory Franklin opened the World Cup series with a double win in front of British fans in London – Lee Valley. She was unbeatable both in kayak and canoe final. Adam Burgess, Ryan Westley, Kimberley Woods and Joe Clarke also won medals at their home course. German, Czech and Australian paddlers also celebrated medals on the opening weekend of the World Cup season.
