Big names to take part in the 2nd European Games in Minsk

German teams unbeatable at their home court

Essen hosted the 48th edition of the International German Canoe Polo Cup with more than one thousand athletes taking part in the tournament. German teams celebrated the wins in men’s and women’s Performance class 1. KRM Essen celebrated in men’s category and ACC Hamburg in women’s final. 124 teams from 19 countries competed at the tournament in Germany.

This year’s European Champion in women’s canoe Mallory Franklin opened the World Cup series with a double win in front of British fans in London – Lee Valley. She was unbeatable both in kayak and canoe final. Adam Burgess, Ryan Westley, Kimberley Woods and Joe Clarke also won medals at their home course. German, Czech and Australian paddlers also celebrated medals on the opening weekend of the World Cup season.
