Spanish Canoe Federation organised the 39th edition of the National Canoeing Gala in Madrid where they awarded those who achieved great results in the season 2023. Spanish canoeing once more celebrated great results and won all possible Olympic quotas in canoe slalom and majority available ones in canoe sprint.

Czech Canoe Union awarded the best athletes of the year 2023. With many medals from World and European Championships in different disciplines it was not an easy task to decide who will get the main award and be named paddler of the year. At the end, Martin Fuksa, the 2023 World and European Champion took the win ahead of canoe slalom paddlers Jiri Prskavec and Vit Prindiš.
