Young Canoe Sprint athletes from 33 European countries concluded the first competition day of the EYOF which takes place in Győr, Hungary. The first day was dedicated to qualifications and heats in the 500 metres K1M, K1W, C1M, C1W, K2M, K2W, C2 mix and K4 mix events.

The European Youth Olympic festival started yesterday with an opening ceremony in Győr, Hungary. Among the ten sports that are part of the EYOF is canoe sprint which will be held in Aranypart, Püspökerdő. 147 promising canoe sprint paddlers from 33 European countries are expected to start at this event.

Great success of Czech team at Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom World Championships

The 2017 Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom World Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia, brought much joy to the Czech team which was by far the most successful team of the championships. European nations were the strongest as representatives of Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, France, Great Britain, Russia, Spain, Austria, Poland, Slovenia and Italy won medals during the six competition days.
