Slovenian paddlers had another exceptional season 2023, in which they celebrated World and European Champion titles, as well as medals at World Cups. As many as 39 representatives of Canoe Federation of Slovenia won at least a medal at major international competitions in last season. The selection of the best was again challenging, at the end Benjamin Savšek and Ana Šteblaj won the titles of paddlers of the year.

The 2024 competition calendar is taking its final shape and the dates of the 2024 ECA Junior Canoe Slalom European Cup have been revealed. Young canoe slalom paddlers will be competing at eight venues in seven countries this June and July.

Canoe slalom paddlers who are preparing for the new season 2024 in Australia took an opportunity and started at the Oceania Championships to find the competition feelings for the first time this year. European paddlers did well, winning in finals of three events.

The ECA Board of Directors confirmed the differences between the ICF and ECA Canoe Slalom Competition Rules, which will be used in the season 2024. Some of the rules changes apply only for Senior Championships, while others will be in use at both Senior and Junior/U23 Canoe Slalom European Championships.

The 2024 ECA I Feel Slovenia Canoe Slalom European Championships will take place in Ljubljana – Tacen, Slovenia, between 15th and 19th May 2024. The Opening ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday and the competitions will take place over the next four days.
