Popular Portuguese training centre Montebelo Aguiera again hosted Nelo’s Winter Challenge which attracted competitors from over ten countries, including top level paddlers, medallists from Olympic Games, European and World Championships.

Funk and Anton unbeatable in Australia

Olympic course in Penrith hosted the second competition of the 2019 Sydney International Whitewater Festival. After last week’s Australian Open this weekend paddlers competed at Oceania Championships. European competitors again took majority of the medals.

Danuta Kozák Hungarian athlete of the year 2018

Hungarian canoe sprinter Danuta Kozák has been named best female athlete of the year 2018. Five-time Olympic champion received an award for outstanding achievements in last season, when she won six medals at European and World Championships, five of them gold.

Double British win at Australian Open in Penrith

Canoe slalom paddlers opened the season 2019 with international competition Australian Open which every year attracts many competitors who are preparing for the new season at the Olympic course in Penrith. Seven medals went to European paddlers, including three gold medals.
