Ten European countries won medals at SUP World Championships

China hosted the 2019 ICF SUP World Championships and among the best were European competitors. German representatives won six medals (two gold medals, three silver medals and one bronze medal), France finished the championships with a total of three medals (two gold and one silver), Israel won eight medals, Hungary and Italy three each, Spain two, Greece five, and Czech Republic, Norway and Russia a medal each.

Canoe Slalom paddlers competed at pre-Olympic race in Tokyo

A week after Tokyo hosted the NHK Cup it was time for the official pre-Olympic test event. All the medals in four Olympic events went to European hands. Thomas Koechlin was the best in men’s C1 final, Ricarda Funk in women’s K1, Mallory Franklin in women’s C1, while Hannes Aigner and David Llorente shared the win in men’s kayak final.

Italy hosted the 16th edition of Adige Marathon which attracted participants from ten countries. Czech duo Zavrel – Mojžišek celebrated a win at the marathon finishing the 35 kilometres long course a second ahead of Italians Angrisani – Bernocchi, Fluri - Willscheid from Germany were third.
