Italian Champion titles for Ivaldi, De Gennaro, Horn and Bertoncelli

Ivrea, venue of the 2021 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships, hosted this year's Italian canoe slalom national championships. Giovanni de Gennaro, Stefanie Horn, Raffaello Ivaldi and Marta Bertoncelli claimed national champion titles on the Dora Baltea River.

Funk, Herzog, Tasiadis and Maxeiner German Canoe Slalom Champions

During the German selection races also National Championships took place in Markkleeberg, at the venue which hosted the 2015 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships. After three days of competitions and six runs of the selection races, also German champions were known. Ricarda Funk, Sideris Tasiadis, Andrea Herzog and Tim Maxeiner took the gold medals in their respective events.

The star of the weekend was definitely German Elena Apel, who won her second U23 European Champion title in canoe event, after she was the best also in Saturday's kayak final.
