Like many other national federations, Canoeing Ireland, too, awarded those who excelled in the year 2023 or made a big impact on canoeing community. It was a successful year as president of the federation Lynda Byron-Byrne stressed out, seeing growth of Canoeing Ireland on and off the water in the previous year.

In 2023, again they dominated at World and European Championships and at World Cup races, but there was only a place for one king.
