Five nations still in the game for the Canoe Polo medals of World Games

After the second tournament day and remaining preliminary round matches of the canoe polo tournament in Wroclaw we know which teams are still in the game for the medals. France, Italy and Germany have a team in the semi-finals both in men’s and women’s part of the tournament, New Zealand will also play in women’s semi-final match and Spain in men’s semi-final.

Hungary and Slovakia conclude 200 metres events in Győr with four medals each

After four days of great racing the canoe sprint part of the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Győr, Hungary, concluded with 200 metres finals in eight events. Host nation – Hungary – celebrated four medals today - two gold, one silver and one bronze. Slovakia too finished the day with a total of four medals - one gold, one silver and two bronze.

Germany shows no mercy

The Canoe Polo tournament of the World Games which are held this week in Wroclaw, Poland, brought 21 matches during the first day; 12 in women’s part of the tournament and 9 in men’s. Tomorrow is the second day of preliminary rounds and on Sunday we will see the semi-finals and finals both in women’s and men’s tournament.

Semi-finalists of the 200 metres events in Győr are known

The last part of the canoe sprint competitions at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Győr, Hungary, is getting closer. On Saturday only the semi-finals and finals A and B in the 200 metres events are to be organised and it will be over. Today’s competition brought the names of the semi-finalists in the 200 metres events that remain in the game for the last sets of medals. In the 200 metres heats Hungarian and Slovak paddlers produced the best runs.
