Germany is again celebrating a double canoe polo crown of the World Games. In Wroclaw both women’s and men’s national team celebrated a win in the final. Women’s team beat France 5-0 and men’s German team celebrated a 4-1 win against Italy. Italy picked up bronze medal in women’s tournament and Spain in men’s.

France, Italy and Germany have a team in the semi-finals both in men’s and women’s part of the tournament, New Zealand will also play in women’s semi-final match and Spain in men’s semi-final.

Host nation – Hungary – celebrated four medals today - two gold, one silver and one bronze. Slovakia too finished the day with a total of four medals - one gold, one silver and two bronze.

Read moreThe Canoe Polo tournament of the World Games which are held this week in Wroclaw, Poland, brought 21 matches during the first day; 12 in women’s part of the tournament and 9 in men’s. Tomorrow is the second day of preliminary rounds and on Sunday we will see the semi-finals and finals both in women’s and men’s tournament.
