Poznan hosts Olympic Hopes Regatta

Between Friday and Sunday Poznan, Poland, is in the centre of canoe sprint community’s attention. On the Malta Canoe venue more than 600 young paddlers from 36 countries are competing in the Olympic Hopes regatta. On Friday they are testing their form in the 1000 meteres events, on Saturday the 500 metres races are scheduled, while on Sunday the excting competition weekend will conclude with 200 metres events. At the end of the weekend the Nation’s Cup will be awarded to the best country according to the results in the A finals.

Canoe Slalom World Cup series ended in Spain

Olympic course in La Seu d'Urgell, Spain, was the last venue of this year's canoe slalom World Cup series. European paddlers were once more excellent, winning thirteen medals in Saturday’s and Sunday’s finals and only two medals went to the hands of Australian paddlers. The same venue will host the 2019 Canoe Slalom and Wildwater Sprint Canoeing World Championships.
