ECA celebrates 25th anniversary next year and thinks about the future

The European Canoe Association (ECA) has been founded on December 11, 1993 in Rome and will celebrate its 25th anniversary next year. With this in mind the leading canoeing institution in Europe wishes to bring activities to a higher level. To help achieve this ECA reached an agreement with Spanish Enrique Prendes to take over the marketing activities for the next Olympic cycle.

Alexander Slafkovsky defends his European Champion title in Slovenia

Slovak canoeist Alexander Slafkovsky showed his mastery in the last event of the 2017 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships in Ljubljana – Tacen, Slovenia. He defended his European Champion title he won last year in Slovakia. In women’s kayak final Austrian Corinna Kuhnle became a European Champion.

Polish celebration at the Canoe Slalom European Championships in Ljubljana

Polish canoe team had many reasons to celebrate during the third competition day of the 2017 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships in Ljubljana – Tacen. In the men’s kayak final Mateusz Polaczyk and Dariusz Popiela finished the race in positions one and two and Filip – Andrzej Brzezinski won silver medal in men’s C2 event.

France, Great Britain, Czech Republic, Slovenia and Germany win the first gold medals in Ljubljana

First medals of the 2017 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships in Ljubljana – Tacen have been awarded to the paddlers of France, Great Britain, Czech Republic, Slovenia and Germany. All the team events were held today in the capital city of Slovenia and brought some interesting results. Slovenia won historic first gold medal in women’s K1 event, while Slovakia failed to win a medal both in C1 and C2 men events where they were defending champions.
