The traditional Pyrenees Cup brought two weekends of canoe slalom and kayak cross racing in Pau and La Seu d’Urgell. On the final racing day Monica Doria Vilarrubla, Miquel Trave, Miren Lazkano, Thomas Koechlin, Olatz Arregui and Martin Dougoud took the wins in their respective events.

Jean Zoungrana, a candidate of the French Canoe Federation, has been elected the new president of the European Canoe Association at the 16th Ordinary Congress, held in Crete. Albert Woods OBE whose mandate ended after 30 years has been named Honorary Life President of the European Canoe Association.
