Thomas Konietzko re-elected as President of the German Canoe Federation (DKV)

03/05/2017 - Former European Canoe Association’s Board of Directors member Thomas Konietzko has been re-elected as the president of the German Canoe Federation at the congress of the DKV which was held last weekend in Essen. The 53-year-old Konietzko who is also a vice-president of the International Canoe Federation (since last November) will lead one of the most successful European Canoe federations for the next four years.

Croatians and Slovenians take majority of the medals in Banja Luka

25/04/2017 - The Vrbas River in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, hosted the second ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Cup race of the season 2017. On a course the 2015 ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Championships as well as last year’s World Championships in this canoeing discipline where held paddlers from Croatia and Slovenia showed the best form in wildwater canoe sprint final. Croatian paddlers occupied all the podium positions in men’s C1 final, while Slovenians did the same in men’s kayak final.
