Great Britain remains paracanoeing superpower

British team competing at the 2018 Paracanoe World Championships in Portugal once again concluded the competition on the top of medal table. British paddlers have won seven medals altogether, with Charlotte Henshaw, Jeanette Chippington and Emma Wiggs picking up two medals each, both in Va’a and kayak events. Jack Eyers added another medal in men’s VL3 final. European paracanoeists did well at this championships as paddlers from Ukraine, Russia, Italy, Sweden, Hungary and Romania also reached the winner’s podium.

The 2018 ECA Paracanoeing European Championships in Belgrade concluded with kayak events. Emma Wiggs added another gold medal to her impressive collection and also Va’a title she won on the second day of canoeing events in Serbia. Jeanette Chippington defended her title from Plovdiv, as well as Yemelianov, Swoboda and Farias.

Great Britain, Italy and Russia celebrate on opening day of Paracanoeing European Championships

Belgrade also hosts Europe’s best Paracanoe athletes who are fighting in Ada Ciganlija for the European Champion titles. The first four sets of medals were awarded today. Emma Wiggs, Larisa Volik, Marius Ciustea and David Phillipson were crowned European champions in Va’a 200 metres finals.
